What is included in the unit?

All properties feature standard items including extended basic cable, high speed internet (most have wireless but at least hard wired), central air/heat, microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, dishes, utensils and glassware. The property will also be stocked with an initial supply of trash liners, toilet paper, both soap and dishwasher detergent. All other specific amenities for each property are listed in the individual unit description on the website.

How many guests are included in the rental rates?

The rental rates include up to four (4) guests. Although the maximum occupancy will allow more guests, there is an additional cost per guest per night. There is a price break for the additional guests if the stay is for a week. Contact Key Properties for more details.

How does Key Properties handle changes to the reservation?

There will be a $35 process fee charged for changes to the reservation.

When is check in and check out?

Check in time is on or after 3:00 pm on the day of your arrival. If upon your arrival into the unit, you discover a problem or damage, contact Management immediately so that you may avoid being held responsible. 

Check out time is at 10:00 am on the day of your departure. Arrangements can be made for late checkout with an additional fee of $25 per hour. GUEST CHECK OUT PROCEDURES:  Secure all windows and doors, load dishwasher and turn on, clean out the refrigerator. Trash should be placed in trash bags and placed in rubbish container outside. If your check out day is the same day or the day before garage day (identified by sign near trash container or door exit), please put container next to the curb. Strip bed linens and put in bath tub. ADJUST thermostat to departure temperature identified on sign posted by control on wall. If your unit is NOT left in a condition unlike arrival, you will be charged additional fees.

Where do I pick up and return unit keys?

The unit keys are to be picked up at the office located in Lenoir City during regular business hours. For office location and directions, see main page Google map. Special arrangements can be made for after hour arrivals.

Returning unit keys on departure day must be taken to the office located in Lenoir City. Do not leave the keys in the unit.

Can I bring my boat & boat trailer or Motor Home or RV?

Out sourcing facilities in the area can provide storage for these kinds of things but they cannot be parked at rental units.

Can I use the facility amenities?

Yes, as a Guest with Key Properties you may use the facilities at Guest rates.

Is there a Security Deposit? and How do I get refunded?

All properties require a minimum $200 security deposit. A separate check made out the Key Properties in the amount indicated on the Confirmation letter is required on Arrival date. This deposit is security against damage including but not limited to garage, TV, fan remote controls, proper clean up at check out  (see Guest Check Out Procedures under check out question/answer) and missing or broken items. Two (2) keys will be issued at check in and if applicable a garage door opener. There is a $50 per key/garage remote charge for each item not returned. Refund of security deposit check will be after inspection of unit has been completed with no incidents.

What is your cancellation policy?

A refund of the reservation deposit will be made if the cancellation notice is received 15 days or more prior to your arrival for stays up to a month. If stays are for more than a month, refund will be given with a minimum 21 day notice prior to your arrival date. No refund will be given if you do not show up. Since this unit is being held for your stay, Key Properties will not be able to offer you a refund if you leave early.

Is smoking allowed?

All properties are non- smoking. If there are cigarette/cigar butts discarded and found lying around the exterior premises; or if unit requires deodorizing, charges will be deducted from security deposit.

Are BBQ grills allowed?

Unless listed as an amenity on the website, grills are NOT permitted. However, if BBQ Grills are permitted, it is the guest’s responsibility to clean the grill or the guest could incur cleaning charges.

Are there units pet friendly?

Key Properties does have some pet friendly units that are identified as such on the individual unit features listed on the website. This varies from unit to unit, per the owner's wishes. With prior permission and payment of a refundable deposit after unit has been inspected, you may have pet(s) according to the property owner's stated criteria, which will vary from unit to unit. Generally, dog breeds with a history of biting (this is not an all inclusive list) as well as the following breeds may not be accommodated for insurance reasons: Pit bulls (includes Staffordshire Terrier), Dobermans, Rottweilers, Chows, Presa Canarios, Akitas, Wolf Hybrids, German Sheperds and Huskies. The property manager who manages the unit can provide you with further information. By law, documented service animals are permitted in all units.
